David’s Harp is an independent nonprofit but successful fulfillment of its mission has, and continues to be, a true community-wide effort. David’s Harp would like to thank the following partners and supporters:

Foundation and Corporate Support

Northwest Health Foundation

Meyer Memorial Trust

Randall Charitable Trust

The Jack R. and Mary B. Dant Special Disability Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation

Additionally, David’s Harp was a recipient of the Advantis GROW Grant program in 2013. Advantis awarded $10,000 to David’s Harp to support capital improvements to the kitchen and dining space at the Harp.

Members and volunteers showing their appreciation!

Community Partners

David’s Harp is tremendously grateful to the members of our community who help support our mission:

Holiday Celebration 2012

For the Holidays, DH members, staff, and community partners all gathered to celebrate the holidays. Help from New Seasons Market, Safeway, and Trader Joe’s, support from community supporters and volunteers donating gifts and time enabled us to throw a wonderful party for our members. Including dinner, presents, and even a visit from Santa, this party was special for all involved!

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanks to the support of our friends at Fred Meyer, we were able to use a $40 gift card to help provide a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner to our members and celebrate the holiday together. Around 50 members went around the room discussing what they were thankful for. Everyone was thankful for the pumpkin pie!

Thanksgiving dinner with our friends and family!

From Our Members

A member shares what he likes most about working in the garden at David’s Harp:

“I like the real beautiful flowers and all the different colors of the flowers and planting things. It makes me feel wonderful; it is wonderful for you, too, and for everybody.”

Happenings at the Harp

David's Harp is gearing up for gardening season! Generous vegetable starts and flower donations from The Portland Nursery are currently being planted by members.

Get Involved!

David's Harp is currently seeking donations of arts and music supplies for our Art and Music Therapy classes. We accept all donations but have a particular need for the following: hand drums, fabric scraps, colored paper, regular paper, paints, brushes air-dry clays, recycled goods, sewing materials, beads, adhesives, markers, and embellishments such as feathers and glitter. At David’s Harp we appreciate the little things and make the most out of everything! Please contact us for more information.
