Who We Are

The Board, staff, and interns at David’s Harp represent dedicated community members who value the
role David’s Harp plays in increasing the quality of life for adults with major mental health disorders.

Members served by David’s Harp are 18 years of age or older and have a diagnosed serious mental illness such as schizophrenia, major depression or bi-polar illness. Most of our members reside within our service area of Multnomah County. A majority of our members live in full-time residential care facilities and are transported to David’s Harp through medical transportation. Some members live with family and a small number are able to live independently. All of our clients are low or no-income individuals, the average age of our members is about 45 years old, and 60% of our members are women.

David’s Harp operates its programs without regard to race, age, religion, color, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, ORS Chapter 659A or other applicable law. Happenings at the Harp

David's Harp is gearing up for gardening season! Generous vegetable starts and flower donations from The Portland Nursery are currently being planted by members.

Get Involved!

David's Harp is currently seeking donations of arts and music supplies for our Art and Music Therapy classes. We accept all donations but have a particular need for the following: hand drums, fabric scraps, colored paper, regular paper, paints, brushes air-dry clays, recycled goods, sewing materials, beads, adhesives, markers, and embellishments such as feathers and glitter. At David’s Harp we appreciate the little things and make the most out of everything! Please contact us for more information.
